Support for autistic, ADHD and otherwise neurodivergent adults to understand themselves, navigate the world and feel more comfortable being who they are.

When the way your brain works doesn't always fit the world around you

Being neurodivergent can bring challenges that aren't always easy to explain. You may feel overwhelmed by expectations, exhausted from masking, struggle with executive functioning, or find that relationships and everyday life take more energy than they seem to take for other people.

You may have known you're autistic or have ADHD for years. You may have been diagnosed recently and be trying to make sense of what it means. Or you may be questioning whether you are neurodivergent and wondering why so many things suddenly seem to make more sense.

Counselling can provide a space to explore these experiences without having to justify, minimise or hide them.

As an AuDHD counsellor, I bring both lived and professional experience to my work with neurodivergent adults. My approach is affirming, collaborative and focused on understanding you rather than trying to make you fit a neurotypical model.

After diagnosis: who am I now?

An autism or ADHD diagnosis can bring relief and validation, but it can also bring unexpected emotions.

You might find yourself looking back at your childhood, relationships or career and seeing things differently. You may be grieving the support you didn't have, questioning parts of your identity, or wondering how much of yourself you've spent years masking.

Counselling can give you space to process all of this and begin to understand yourself through a different lens.

You don't have to have everything worked out. We can explore it together.

Supporting parents of neurodivergent children

Parenting an autistic or ADHD child can be rewarding, challenging and exhausting — sometimes all at once.

I also work with parents who are navigating diagnosis, changing family dynamics, school or behavioural challenges, overwhelm and the emotional impact of trying to support their child while looking after themselves.

You don't need to be neurodivergent yourself to seek support. Sometimes you simply need somewhere to put your own feelings and experiences.

This is important because it expands your audience beyond neurodivergent adults.

Coaching for moving forward

What can we explore?

  • Identity & diagnosis - Making sense of a diagnosis, exploring your identity and understanding yourself beyond labels and expectations.

  • Masking & authenticity - Exploring the ways you may have learned to hide or suppress parts of yourself, and what it might mean to feel more able to be yourself.

  • Burnout & overwhelm - Understanding autistic or ADHD burnout, sensory and emotional overwhelm, and finding ways of living that are more sustainable.

  • Relationships - Exploring communication, boundaries, attachment, intimacy and the ways neurodivergence can affect relationships.

  • Self-esteem - Understanding the impact of years of feeling different, misunderstood, criticised or as though you're somehow getting life “wrong”.

  • ADHD & executive functioning - Exploring procrastination, motivation, organisation, time, overwhelm and the frustration that can come when you know what you want to do but can't seem to make it happen.

  • Life transitions - Support through diagnosis, career changes, relationships, parenthood, divorce or other periods when familiar ways of coping no longer work.

  • Sexuality & identity - A space to explore sexuality, gender, relationships and identity, including the intersections between neurodivergence and LGBTQ+ identity.
